Community First Credit Union has partnered with an award winning web-based financial literacy provider to bring you the most convenient way to learn about your money. It’s interactive, informative and kind of fun. And, because Community First is a not-for-profit financial cooperative committed to doing good –– we make this program free to our Members, and select area non-profits.
There are three courses to choose from:
Banzai Junior- Teaching kids 8-12 about the value of a dollar by starting a lemonade stand, opening up their first savings account, and watching their money GROW!
Banzai Teen- Teaching teens 13-18+ how to manage their money responsibly, how to make smart financial decisions and seeing the consequences of poor money choices.
Banzai Plus- Teaching adults about smart money management, how to maintain good credit, how to qualify for a loan/mortgage, and making your money work for you!

Being Smart With Money Isn’t Rocket Science. It Just Takes Common Cents.
Needs before wants. Tomorrow before right now. A little bit of everyday money, saved every day, turns into BIG money over time. It’s that simple!
We want this generation of students NOT to repeat the financial mistakes made by adults, elected officials and captains of industry during the past decades. To that end, Community First provides an in-class, informational, participatory (and somewhat entertaining) Financial Literacy presentation to local classrooms. Syllabus includes: ease of saving loose change, smart spending & budgeting, intro of credit scores and why they are so important, and what it all means for college and jobs. Plus Q & A. Takes about 45 minutes, inclusive.
