As we approach June 1 — the date when all Vocality accounts officially transition to Community First Credit Union (CFCU), we want to outline some important upcoming steps to ensure a smooth transition for our new members from VCCU.

What to Expect in the Coming Weeks

Important Mail Coming Your Way

  • Disclosures: In the coming days, you'll receive a set of CFCU diclosures in your mailbox outlining your member benefits and account terms. These terms will not take efect until June 1, 2025. No action is needed — these documents are for your reference only.
  • New CFCU Account Number: Starting the week of May 12, you’ll receive your new CFCU account number(s) in your mailbox. Your new account number will become active on June 1, 2025. Until then, continue using your current VCCU account number.

Key Transition Dates

May 15-16:

If you have a VCCU credit card or mortgage, you will be receiving information about important changes to these accounts.


May 17:

If you use VCCU Online Banking to do Bill Pay or make transfers you will be receiving information about important changes to these services.


June 1:

System Integration: All VCCU systems and accounts will transition to CFCU.
New Account Numbers: Your new CFCU account number(s) becomes active.
Website Redirect: The VCCU website will be retired and will redirect to the CFCU website.


June 2:

New Digital Banking: CFCU’s enhanced Digital Banking — including digital Bill Pay — will be available for new registration.
Member Support: All member service will transition to CFCU’s team via phone, online chat, and at all 12 CFCU branches across the North Bay. The current VCCU call center will no longer be in service.

What's NOT Changing

  • Pull Payments: Automatic transfers from other financial institutions or payments to  companies (e.g., utilities, car payments) that “PULL” funds from your Vocality account will continue without interruption. These external “ACH transactions” were set up through the other institution or company—not through VCCU online banking – and will not be impacted.
  • Cards and Checks: Your VCCU debit and credit cards, as well as your checks, will continue to work as usual.
  • Direct Deposits: Direct deposits will automatically redirect to your new CFCU account. However, we recommend updating your account details with your employer or any payors when convenient.

Action Needed

Before June 1, please ensure we have your up-to-date contact information — including your email, phone number, and mailing address. You can update your information through:

  • VCCU Online Banking
  • VCCU Member Service Call Center
  • VCCU’s Garberville or Ukiah branch
