COMMUNITY FIRST DELIVERS 52 STROLLERS TO LIVING ROOM

3rd Annual Effort Almost Doubles Last Year’s Effort

Plus $700 in Cash

Santa Rosa, Calif. –– 6 January 2012 –– Community First Credit Union’s Third Annual Stroller Drive to benefit deserving mothers at The Living Room resulted in the delivery of 52 strollers to Santa Rosa’s day center for women and their children who are homeless.  This year’s effort almost doubled the 28 strollers collected the previous year.

For each stroller dropped off by a Community First member, the member received $10 and Community First donated $10 to The Living Room.  With additional cash donations made by some of Community First’s members, the financial cooperative presented The Living Room with a check for $700.

“The Living Room makes such a valuable contribution to improving the lives of local women and their children.  It is our honor to help them,” said Pat Duncan, branch manager of the financial cooperative’s College Avenue office.
