Meeting of the Membership, 2014
Wednesday, April 23
Two great events for our financial cooperative.
FIRST, from 6 to 6:40 p.m., "Reimagining Retirement" a free presentation that should be of interest to everyone, but is particularly suited to those thinking about retirement. Jay Bell, a former Madison Avenue advertising executive (and current Community First Member), will lead a spirited discussion about second and third acts in life.
This is NOT a financial planning session. Instead, you will learn the six pillars of "reimagining" who you are, and what you want from life: reflect, connect, explore, choose, repack and act!
This seminar is free. It's interactive, with two-way conversations, and with YOU filling in the blanks. More important, it will give you insights and tools to reinvent yourself and your goals.
SECOND, from 7 to 7:59 p.m., the Annual Meeting of the Membership. Community First is a financial cooperative. Use this once-a-year meeting as a convenient opportunity to learn and participate in the financial cooperative of which you are a Member/Owner. We will vote on new terms for Board and Supervisory volunteers. You'll learn about the financial state of your cooperative, where we're headed, and how we plan to get there.
It's all awesome and interesting information, of course. Nonetheless, we're realists. We know we need to juice attendance with bribes of prizes and food. So heck, enjoy the prizes and food. And in an hour flat we're done.
Here's the Agenda:
- Elsie Allen Drum Line
- Moment of silence to honor music teacher Susan E. Hufford
- CEO's State of the Credit Union address
We hope to see you there!
All this happens in the main meeting room of the Mary Agatha Furth Center in beautiful Windsor (8400 Old Redwood Highway).
